Relating to reducing health disparities for minority communities; declaring an emergency.

Abstract

Requires Oregon Health Authority and coordinated care organizations to partner with regional health equity coalitions in addressing health disparities for communities of color, Indian tribes, immigrants, refugees, migrant and seasonal farmworkers, low-income populations, persons with disabilities and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning communities, with communities of color as leading priority. Describes regional health equity coalitions. Requires authority and coordinated care organizations to award grants] provide funding to support work of regional health equity coalitions that meet specified criteria. Requires authority to appoint regional health equity coalition fidelity committee to oversee regional health equity coalitions statewide and establish funding criteria for coalitions. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2019.
